On Friday night Jesse Lowe kicked off his Memorial Day weekend at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) debuting in his brand new Longhorn Chassis No. 5j Late Model for the Topless Outlaw Series sanctioned contest. After multiple rain showers delayed the program into the early morning hours, Lowe powered his Phantom Racing Engines machine to a sixth place finish from the 17th-starting position. The following night at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) in a field of 25 Topless Outlaw Series entries, Jesse came in fourth in the feature behind Cory Hedgecock, Chase King, and Kyle Courtney with Austin Neely rounding out the Top-5.
For the Memorial Day special on Sunday afternoon at Wartburg Speedway (Wartburg, Tenn.), Lowe followed up the sixth fastest lap in time trials with a fourth place finish in the feature, trailing Drew Kennedy, Eddie King Jr., and Anthony White across the line with Jordan Rodabaugh coming in fifth.
On Sunday afternoon at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.) for the Schaeffer’s Iron-Man Series sanctioned Scott Sexton Memorial, Lowe posted an eighth place finish in his heat against a stout field of Super Late Model competitors. Needing a second place finish or better to make the $10,052-to-win A-Main, Jesse fell short with an eighth place outing.
