Jesse Lowe made the most of an unscheduled trip to Crossville (Tenn.) Speedway on Friday night.
What was intended to be a test session to dial in his Xtreme Pressure Washing No. 5j Dylan Scott Music/ Gondolas Pizza and Steakhouse/ Phantom Racing Engines Late Model, turned into Lowe’s third win of the season.
“I really wasn’t planning on racing tonight,” said Lowe after the event. “We have been terrible the past few weeks and I was ready to throw in the towel. But luckily, I have a team and sponsors that won’t let that happen. We decided to go and use this as a test session to try and figure this thing out. Needless to say, it worked out in our favor.”
Lowe added: “Thank you to anyone that has spent an ounce of effort supporting us, a dime to come watch us, or has used a minute of their time to send us messages of support. You are the reason we do this!”
Topping the Steelhead Late Model field in time trials, Lowe locked into the pole position for the feature. Leading wire-to-wire, Lowe dominated the 25-lapper to take the win over Andy Miller, Robby Mason, Kyle Courtney, and Anthony Conley.
