February 16, 2019 - Jesse Lowe Opens 2019 Season With Sweetheart Victory at 411
Jesse Lowe kicked off his 2019 season in triumphant style on Saturday afternoon. The driver of the Xtreme Pressure Washing #5j Gondolas Pizza and Steakhouse/ CVR Race Car Late Model wired the field in the annual Sweetheart event at 411 Motor Speedway to pick up the $1,5000 victory.

“What a way to start our season,” Lowe exclaimed. “This is for everyone who helps me, supports me, and sponsors me. I want to thank to thank Mitch McCarter and the whole 411 Motor Speedway staff for all the hard work, and the way that they conducted post-race tech. Last but definitely not least, I want to thank our Lord. I’ve been struggling with wanting to race, and he’s pushed me through and put people in my life that are giving me the opportunity to keep doing what I love!”

The annual Sweetheart event drew a field of 24 competitors to Mitch McCarter’s 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tennessee) on a cool Saturday afternoon. Jesse started the day by setting the benchmark in qualifying over the 24-car field with a 14.213-second lap around the 3/8-mile, clay oval.

Via his qualifying effort Lowe earned the pole position for the $1,500-to-win feature. Jesse grabbed the lead at the drop of the green flag. Throughout the caution-plagued event he fought back multiple advances from Cory Hedgecock to claim the season-opening victory. Mack McCarter, Ross White and Clay Coglan completed the Top-5 finishers.
